Platon Ogarev

Private Contact

Platon Ogarev is a student of the Cinematography Department at Łódź Film School, currently in his fifth year of studies. With a humble yet profound passion for visual storytelling, Platon has accumulated valuable experience as a cinematographer and camera operator across a variety of projects, including feature films, documentaries, and advertisements.

His journey into filmmaking also led him to explore his own directorial vision, resulting in the creation of eight personal short films. Notably, his documentary "Crew" (2020) received recognition at both national and international festivals.

Platon's formative experience as a cinematographer on a long-time documentary project in Berlin in 2020 deeply influenced his subsequent work, notably inspiring his short feature film "Tańcząca chmura" ("Dancing Cloud"). This film found its place among esteemed festivals such as Camerimage in Toruń, WAMA in Olsztyn, and the Ca' Foscari Short Film Festival in Venice, Italy.

Driven by a subtle determination, Platon's artistic exploration revolves around the theme of finding harmony amidst life's chaos. This motif threads through his work and academic pursuits, notably his master's thesis, as he delves into the interplay between chaos and order.
